I'm looking at buying one for my hubby for Christmas and wanted to know the best kind/size/model and why. He would be using pneumatic tools (wrench, nail gun, etc) and general automotive/construction/repair uses. What is the price range on something like this? Thank you for your help!

I have a 2 phase 40 gal. air compressor that I just fixed and then dumped about a quart of oil down the air intake. It still runs but the tank is full of oil vapor witch is real problem bucause the purpose of fixing it was for automotive paint.
also how do i tell if there is enough oil in the actual oil reservoir. there is a little sight plug that has a star looking thing in it whitch i thought had to be half covered. I was obvioulsly wrong baceause I kept putting more and more in until it mixed up with the cam and exanded in size and then poured into the air intake.
Any ideas pleaSe?

I've just had my air "fixed" in my '01 Cavilier. The problem is that the air coming out of the vents at idle (cold or hot) is little better than the temp outside the car. The shop says that the compressor is weak but they just put a "new" compressor on just under two months ago. Any suggestions?
